The international photo contest "Folk traditions today"

PHOTO CONTEST AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
1. Preservation and development of the authentic ethnic world cultures.
2. Formation of cross-national communication culture, moral integrity and interethnic concord.
3. Upbringing of positive national cultural identity among children and young people, creating conditions for their large-scale involvement into the sphere of folklife culture, revival of family national traditions.
4. Preservation and development of continuity of ethnic cultural traditions including the context of multiethnic society of the Russian Federation.
5. Using fine art photography for promotion of ethnic and folk art, on-stage performance folk groups, performers and craftsmen actively preserving and developing various ethnic traditions.
6. Skills development of visual and emotional acquisition that allows to respect and accept moral and cultural values of other nations; upbringing and formation of artistic taste and aesthetic sense of the younger generation based on photovisual and artistic images.
7. Facilitation of multi media and printed photo product development in the sphere of preservation and development of ethnic world cultures.
PHOTO CONTEST CATEGORIES:
– a portrait photo in a folk costume;
– a photo of the performance of ethnic ceremonies;
– a photo of traditional festivities;
– a photo of folk crafts;
– a photo of folk costumes in modern interpretation.
