International scientific-practical conference "Biological and Ecological Education of Students and Schoolchildren: Actual Problems and Ways of Solving Problems"

We invite you to participate in International scientific-practical conference «Biological and Ecological Education of Students and Schoolchildren: Actual Problems and Ways of Solving Problems». The conference will be held 7–8 February 2014 at Samara State Academy of Social Sciences and Humanities (Samara, Russian Federation).

The conference organizing committee includes:
- K.I.Bobodzhanova, candidate of biology, director of the Biotechnology Research Institute of the Tajik National University, Dushanbe, Tajikistan;
- I.V.Kazantsev, candidate of biology, dean of the Natural-Geographic Faculty, associate professor of the Chair of Geography, Chemistry and Methods of Teaching of Samara State Academy of Social Sciences and Humanities, Samara, Russian Federation;
- O.D.Mochalov, doctor of history, professor, head of Samara State Academy of Social Sciences and Humanities, Samara, Russian Federation (chairman);
- Y.M.Popov, doctor of biology, professor, head of the Chair of Zoology and Anatomy, Physiology, Life Safety of Samara State Academy of Social Sciences and Humanities, Samara, Russian Federation;
- S.Hirofumi, professor of Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan;
- A.A.Semenov, candidate of biology, head of the Chair of Botany, General Biology, Ecology, Biological and Ecological Education of Samara State Academy of Social Sciences and Humanities, Samara, Russian Federation (assistant of chairman).

The conference will discuss the following issues:
- the role of biological and ecological knowledge in the development of the individual, sustainable development and public safety;
- the status and prospects of teaching biology and ecology at university and high school;
- the educational potential of biology and ecology, its implementation;
- design and research activities of students and schoolchildren in biology, ecology, biological and ecological education;
- training and methodological support and material resources for the teaching of biology and ecology;
- post-graduate education and training of the teaching staff in biological and ecological education.

Conference languages: Russian and English.

To participate in the conference an application form (see below) and publication materials should be sent until January 12, 2014 on e-mail biopgsga2014@mail.ru. After receiving materials the committee sends a confirmation e-mail to the author. If there is no confirmation letter, the author should send the materials once again.
Materials for publication should be in Microsoft Office Word (doc or docx) format. Sheet Size – A4, page margin settings – all set to 2 cm. Text design: the font is Times New Roman, size 14 pt, first line indent of 1.25 cm, one and a half line spacing, text alignment on width of page. The paper volume- not less than 3 and not more than 7 pages of typed text, the number of articles from one party – no more than 2, including the co-author.

Graphic materials should be kept in black and white. The bibliography should be formalized in accordance with GOST 7.1–2003. Titles and numbers of figures are indicated below figures, tables – above tables. References to literature should be in square brackets, references to figures and tables in parentheses.
The works are published in author's edition. The organizing committee reserves the right to reject materials that do not correspond with the conference topics and do not meet the requirements.

In the case of organizing committee positive decision of participation in the conference, a second information e-mail will be with details of the account to pay a registration fee, rating as 100 RUB for a one-page of an article. The fee includes the cost of one collection of conference materials (one article – one collection). The shipping of the collection is paid at the rate of 100 RUB per book. Additional copies will be charged separately (the cost of collection – 250 RUB + shipping 100 RUB).

After the conference, full-time participants will receive certificates.
Travel, meals, accommodation are at the expense of participants.
