The Organizing Committee of the 5th International Conference «PHYSICS OF LIQUID MATTER: MODERN PROBLEMS» (PLMMP-2010) has the pleasure of inviting you to take part in the Conference ( http://plmmp.org.ua ).

It will be held on May 21-24, 2010, in the capital of Ukraine ancient
city Kyiv. The Conference is organized by the Ministry of Science and
Education of Ukraine, Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University,
National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and Ukrainian Physical
Society.

TOPICS OF THE CONFERENCE:

1. Thermodynamics, structure and intermolecular interaction in fluids
2. Transport phenomena
3. Phase transitions and critical phenomena
4. Surface phenomena and fluids in confined geometry
5. Water and water systems
6. Solutions of low- and high-molecular substances. Liquids in Medical Physics
7. Nanophysics of liquid systems. Ferrofluids. Liquid systems with fullerenes
8. Properties of quantum liquids. Radiation physics of liquids

The Scientific program of the Conference will consist of oral
contributions (~20 min) and posters. Panel sessions, round table
discussions, and a lot of other informal meetings and excursions over
the city of Kyiv and its surrounding will be also scheduled.

WORKING LANGUAGE of the Conference is English.

LOCATION

The Conference will take place in Kyiv that is an attractive city of
Ukraine situated in the heart of country on the banks of the Dnieper -
one of the biggest river in Europe. The nearest and the most
convenient Borispol airport is thirty minutes of driving outside the
city and has comfortable bus service. Kyiv is the city whose roots go
down to the hoary past, with 1500-th year history. Over 1500 year,
Kyiv has outlived much: it was destroyed and rose from the ashes
again. This city has traversed a glorious road from a settlement of
the Slavonic tribe to one of the largest European cities, which
combines a great spirit of Kievan-Rus with centralization of many
scientific centres, universities and institutes such as Institute of
Theoretical Physics, Institute of Nuclear Physics, Institute of
Physics, Institute of Physical Chemistry. Coming to Kyiv from the
Borispol airport you will see a grand Pecherska Lavra Monastery which
was founded in 1051 by monks Antony and Feodosiy. Cupolas of its
churches rise up over the Dnieper hills and dominate the city.
Pecherska Lavra is a cradle of Christianity in Kievan-Rus and still
functioning monastery. Legendary St. Sophia Cathedral located in the
centre of the city was built in the XI Century by the Prince Yaroslav
the Wise. This sanctuary was constructed in the mage and likeness of
the Constantinople St. Sophia's Cathedral. You could take a walk
trough history into Ukrainian homes, barns, mills and wells typical
for the XVIII-XIX Centuries and see marvellous landscapes of Ukrainian
nature in Pirohovo Village which is an open air museum.

ACCOMMODATION

The participants will be accommodated at single and double rooms in
the university hotel. It takes 10 minutes to get the Conference Hall.
The accommodation costs (preliminar):

Double shared..... 10Euro/nihgt,
Single............ 20Euro/night,
Lux............... 40Euro/night.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be served for 6Ђ (1 meal) in the hotel
or in one of the nearest cafes. Payment for accommodation can be made
on arriving to the Conference.

The Conference fee and accommodation cost can be reduced for
participants by the decision of Organizing Committee. No refund will
be made for the fee cancellations. You may find more information later

ABSTRACTS

Authors should comply abstracts according to the guidelines for
abstract submission:

Abstracts of all contributions will be published in the conference
abstract book, which will be supplied to all participants at the
registration office. The text of abstract should be written in English
on A4 portrait paper format in MS Word 97 with margins: top – 2,5 cm,
bottom – 2,5 cm, left – 2,5 cm, right -2,5 cm. Use single spacing and
size of type 10 pt. Please give the title, the name and full details
of the author to whom correspondence should be addressed. Abstracts
uploaded via online submission form will be accepted. The deadline for
receipt of abstracts is February 15, 2010. All abstracts should be
submitted via online electronic submission form and mailed as printed
originals. Printed originals (in two copies) should be sent to:
