The International Conference "Development of the Technology Transfer Networks for Innovations"

The Conference will be held with the support rendered by the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the international project "LT.InnoConnect.BY - Innovation networking for economic development", the international project “ COOL Bricks - Climate Change, Cultural Heritage & Energy Efficient Monuments”, the Cooperation Foundation of the Central European Initiative (CEI), business associations from across the country.

The objectives of the Conference are:
-  to exchange the world’s best experience in the field of technology transfer and find guidelines for improvement activities of technology transfer networks in Belarus;
-  to inform the national and international public about the progress made in the innovation-related activity in Belarus, the CIS and CEI countries.

Expected participants
The Conference is to bring together high-ranked officials from ministries, governmental bodies and agencies, academic and educational institutions, business associations, top managers of domestic enterprises and companies, and those coming from the CIS and the CEI member countries, key experts from the UNDP, UNIDO and other international organizations.

The agenda of the Forum and the topics to be covered
-  Plenary Session.
-  Session 1. Policies, legislation, methodology and education applicable to technology transfer activity and IP rights.
-  Session 2. Preparation of innovations for promoting through technology transfer networks.
-  Session 3. International instruments of technology transfer: technology transfer networks, social networks, technological platforms, auctions, EU programs, etc.
-  Session 4. State-private partnership in technology transfer and establishment of innovation enterprises.
-  Session 5. Technology Foresight as an instrument for innovation-driven development.
-  Session 6. Innovation Entrepreneurship of the Young.
-  Session 7. International projects in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources.
-  Session 8. Strategies for open innovation and sustainable economic development of the border regions.
          
The Conference provides for the following participation options:
-  delivery of a plenary report;
-  presentation of a topic-wise report;
-  partaking (attending) with no presentations or reports.

The set speech time limits are:
20 minutes for a plenary report;
10 minutes for a topic-wise report.

The languages used at the Conference are  Russian and English.

The participation terms
Applications for participation in the Conference will be accepted till 14 May 2013 online.

Electronic versions of report theses (summaries) are to be e-mailed to innovationforum@mail.ru by 14 May 2013.
The organization fee of BYR1 200,000 (including BYR200,000 as 20% VAT) is charged for partaking in the Conference as its Participant.
This fee provides for
-  participation in (attending of) the Conference events of 30-31 May 2013;
-  a Conference participant’s kit;
-  catering service during the coffee breaks; the lunch and the gala-dinner.

University post-graduates will be charged a reduced-rate Participant fee, BYR80,000 (with the two-day event attendance and the coffee break service opportunities provided).

University students will be charged the reduced-rate Participant fee of BYR40,000 (with the two-day event attendance and the coffee break service opportunities provided).

There is a distant participation option offered (in which case the summary/theses of the applicant’s report/presentation will be published in the Compendium of the Conference Materials) with the rate of BYR1,000 per 1000 text characters.

The fee of BYR4200,000 (including BYR700,000 as 20% VAT) is charged for partaking in the Conference as its Partner.
This Conference Partner fee provides for
-  up to 3 representatives of the Partner partaking in (attending of) the Conference events on 30-31 May 2013;
-  1 to 3 Conference participant’s kits;
-  catering service during the coffee breaks; the lunch and the gala-dinner;
-  placement of the Partner’s basic reference data and logo in the information materials of the Conference;
-  distribution of the Partner’s self-published promotionals throughout the Conference.

Besides, Belarusian and foreign organizations, enterprises and companies are very welcome to get the status of Sponsors of the Conference. Being a Sponsor of the Conference means
-  to be mentioned as an official Sponsor of the International Conference “Development of the Technology Transfer Networks for Innovations” throughout the Sponsor’s own PR and advertizing campaigns and during the promotion events in relation with the Conference;
-  to get the Sponsor’s own logo printed in the Forum’s official publications and posted on its electronic media, the Web site of the Conference (hosted by the RCTT on http://ictt.by);
-  to get the opportunity of self promotion by submitting the basic reference data and promotion materials about innovative aspects of the Sponsor’s activity/products; getting the materials posted on the Web site of the Conference;
-  to get the opportunity of distributing the Sponsor’s published promotionals between the Conference’s participants during the event (by the Sponsor’s own means or with the Conference organizers’ support);
-  to get the rights for the use of the official text, photo, video materials of the Conference for the Sponsor’s own promotional purposes;
-  to be able to take part in briefings and press releases in relation with the Conference;
-  to get access to the Conference-related video shooting and editing by television/ print/electronic mass media, etc.
The sponsorship terms and conditions are stipulated a special contract.

There is no certainty for inclusion of reports/presentations in the Conference agenda, if their summary materials are submitted after 14 May 2013.

Should an applicant refuse from participation in the Conference by a written notice (sent as an electronic letter to innovationforum@mail.ru) in no less than 15 days before the beginning of the event, 80% of the paid fee will be returned to the applicant. Should such notices come later, no refunds will provide for the paid fees.

The reports and other materials accepted to the Conference agenda will be compiled and published as a compendium after the event.
Electronic versions of report theses (summaries) – the maximal text of six A4 pages for invited reports and three pages for expert’s reports/presentations - are to be e-mailed to innovationforum@mail.ru as MS Word files for Windows (formulae-containing texts are to be formatted and submitted in MS Word for formulae).

A summary/theses text should be in edited in the following way: fonts Times, size 12; single line spacing; paragraph indentation 1.25 cm left; margins: 3cm left, 1cm right, 2 cm top, 2 cm bottom. The submitted summary materials should carry: the UDC, the report/presentation title, the full name(s) of the author(s), the full name of the entity represented by the author(s), the place (city), the text of the summary/theses proper. Illustrations (except for MS Excel and MS Graph diagrams) should be submitted as separate files named in accordance with the numbering of the respective figures; the filename extensions should be clearly and directly related to their actual formats (e.g. *1.TIF, *.JPEG, etc.). Each figure should carry its own subscription put right under it. Should a text carry one or more graphs or figures, Arabic numbers should be used for numeration thereof. The comprehensive list of the literature used for the report should be put at the end of the text. References to the literary sources in the text should to be put in their direct order, in square brackets and edited to meet the ГОСТ 7.1-2003 standards.
